Her Lighthouse (formerly known as IWOD and Women of Dawah) is a non-profit initiative dedicated to empowering Muslim women to become confident ambassadors of Islam. Our mission is to guide women, especially those new to Islam, by providing mentorship, resources, and training to help them grow in faith and share the message of Islam with others.

As a non-profit organization, we focus on creating a compassionate, supportive environment where women can flourish spiritually and personally, and help each other spread the light of Islam.

Da'wah is an Arabic word which has the literal meaning of "issuing a summons," or "making an invitation."  This term is often used to describe how Muslims teach others about the beliefs and practices of their Islamic faith. 

We find that other organisations help both men and women learn about Islam.

We know that men and women can learn information differently. Therefore we found other women find it safe and familiar environment to learn about Islam from other women.

We also help Muslim women learn how to da’wah in a way that benefits other women.

We teach other women based solely on the Qur’an and Sunnah.

We run these sessions on a volunteer basis. We gain community connections and work with other mosques to help deliver the message.

Whether you're looking for answers to your questions or just want to explore Islam in a relaxed setting, we are here to help. These sessions can be conducted online or in person, depending on your preference.
